Ok, we are now on Day 8, and still no action. If Jeni was giving birth to Benjamin Button, she’d give birth to a baby. At least if Jeni and I are both tired after the birth, Mac will be able to drive us home. I think it’s safe to say we can start returning some of his infant clothes, as he probably has outgrown most of them. In hindsight we should have registered Mac at Casual Male XL.
The good news is that the doctor is going to induce Jeni this Thursday night at midnight, so wee Mac should be here sometime on Friday. So that is exciting news! But poor Jeni still has to make it 4 more days. I remember when it wasn’t that long ago when Jeni would refer to wee Mac in a lovingly way as her son. But after 40+ weeks of pregnancy and still no baby, she now refers to him in a rather brusque way as, “your” son. I have graciously accepted the fact that this is all my fault, because like George Michael I choose life. But I’m confident there will be a moment on Friday where DaftDaddy is the hero again and all will be good in the world. I just gotta have faith-a-faith-a-faith.
