I guess in Chicago they don’t mind kids missing that many days of school, but in California it’s obviously a different story. A California mom was sentenced to 180 days in jail after she pleaded guilty to allowing her kids to miss more than 10 percent of the of the school year. She has a child in the second and third grade, and the two missed a total of 116 days of school last year. Parents seem to have a mixed reaction over the sentencing – as does Abe Froman – the Sausage King of Chicago. So what do you think? Was the sentence too harsh or too lenient?
